Long and Proud History AVOS is well respected, and one of the oldest family-owned companies in the world within the metal industry, situated on 2 locations in Kalundborg, Denmark. We are owned and managed by Anders and Thomas Vølund, and established back in 1853 by their great-great grandfather Kristian Andersen. Anders and Thomas is the sixth generation of owners at AVOS in a straight line – and 11th generation of Black Smiths within the area of Kalundborg. AVOS has evolved immensely over the decades. From forging horseshoes, we now produce highly demanding parts with advanced computer-controlled machines. We are proud of our long history and we have always focused on order, quality, flexibility and a good working environment. The result is workshops on two locations, which are completely updated and packed with high-tech equipment to meet our customers' requests and demands. But one thing has never changed throughout the decades - Good quality and good craftsmanship.
