About Awakening Voices

Awakening Voices is a non-profit, online entertainment network for nonviolent programming and community action. We’re here to bring together like-minded people who are interested in making the world a better place. We do this by entertaining viewers, inspiring viewers and by empowering viewers to make a difference in their communities. It starts with experiencing the power of nonviolent entertainment. If we're influenced by what we watch, then there's power in surrounding ourselves with thought-provoking, first-rate, nonviolent movies that we curate for your enjoyment. All our programming is free. Our “Ordinary Heroes” channel inspires viewers with short, solution-driven documentaries featuring ordinary people, just like you, doing extraordinary things. We aim to not just inspire you with such incredible voices, but also to empower you to awaken your own voice – and take action by getting involved in your community. Viewers become agents of change by submitting their videos to our “Be a Voice” channel, or if you’re under 18, to our “Youth Out of the Box” channel. And guess what? As you share your videos, others become inspired and empowered. And they start to share how they're making a difference. And what they share is seen by others who become inspired and empowered and they start to share how they're making a difference And it grows and grows and grows. Until we have a global network that is filling the world with good through the power of entertainment, inspiration and empowerment.
