About Black Girls Need Love

Black Girls Need Love is a creative advocacy platform and community organization based in Atlanta, founded in 2023. Our mission is to make wellness and community more accessible to Black girls and women, inspiring healing within our community. BGNL exists to shift the culture in our community to be more love-centered. We are rooted in self-love and love for one another because this is where healing begins. Our work cultivates connection, builds community, and encourages Black girls and women to honor their mental and emotional needs with care. We blend creativity and community care to provide free and affordable support that makes healing more accessible to our community. Our core values guide everything we do: - Accessibility: We believe wellness and community should be within reach for every Black girl and woman, and we are committed to making that a reality through all of our programming. - Advocacy: We use creativity, culture, and care to speak up for ourselves and our communities, working to shift narratives and uplift positive representation. Creativity: We harness creativity and storytelling as powerful tools to express, heal, and inspire. - Culture: We honor the beauty, influence, and power of Black culture as a foundation for storytelling, celebration, and shared identity. - Care: We believe that both self-care and community care are essential. We lead with love, create intentional space for wellness, and cultivate environments where Black girls and women feel seen, valued, and connected. We’re not just holding space — we’re changing the narrative.
