The five languages 'What's On' monthly pocket guide which was launched two years ago is in constant evolution and is proving extremely popular with hoteliers and tourists alike. In May this year individuals and companies involved in the tourism industry have come aboard on another project - a network of leaflet stands which can be found in over eighty locations on the Maltese islands. This has proven to be a very effective media vehicle to target visitors to our islands. This summer the first set of twelve village maps have been installed in St. Julian's. This map features an attractive hand-drawn three-dimensional view of the locality showing various tourist attractions and is illuminated at night using an energy-saving system powered by solar panels during the day.
