About BNGO

The BNGO e.V. is the professional association of 133 highly specialized gynecological oncologists in private practice from 113 medical practices throughout Germany. The quality of treatment and the well-being of the patients are the main focus. The top priority is the competent outpatient treatment of women with breast cancer and other gynecological tumors. To meet these goals, BNGO e.V. promotes quality assurance, continuing education and training, and the scientific exchange of experience among its members. BNGO e.V. cooperates with scientific organizations such as AGO, DGHO and NOGGO regarding the implementation of scientific studies and educational events. The BNGO e.V. participates in social and health policy decision-making processes such as the DMP program for breast cancer. Furthermore, the association is involved in professional politics in cooperation with other associations to strengthen the interests of practicing gynecological oncologists in terms of optimal care for patients. An important goal of our professional association is, among other things, the implementation of the additional title "Gynecological Oncology". To this end, we work together with professional societies to develop concepts for continuing education and training. Together with hospital advisory boards and patient associations, we will continue to strengthen gynecologic oncology as an independent specialty in the future. Since 2015, the BNGO has been a member of the Spitzenverband Fachärzte Deutschland e.V. (SpiFa) in which represents the interests of practicing gynecological oncologists.
