About Brave Soles

Established in 2017, Brave Soles is a footwear and accessory brand that is changing the planet one upcycled tire at a time. We believe that through socially conscious and ethical business decisions we can change the perception of fashion and what it means to be proud to represent a cause through consumer choices. We see up-cycling as an exciting opportunity for our products to be innovative, therefore we incorporate upcycled tires and inner tubes into everything that we do, from tote bags to flip flops. All Brave Soles products are handmade in the Dominican Republic by highly skilled artisans using local resources. Brave Soles was founded, in large part, out of the landfills of the Dominican Republic. Christal Earle, our founder, has spent years working with vulnerable communities in the landfills and hearing their stories. These stories, coupled with witnessing first hand the never-ending waste of resources, inspired Christal to found Brave Soles and find a solution. Part of that solution is providing these people with the opportunity to create enterprise and eliminating waste through upcycling of reclaimed materials.
