About Break it Kids

Break it Kids is a scientifically based movement break, created by a Paediatric Occupational Therapist and her creative husband, for kids to support their self-regulation. Each of our episodes is around 10 minutes long, taking you on another wondrous adventure through highly interactive animated videos, whilst following movements in a structured approach to allow the child to return to a calm and productive state. By August, we will have 24 episodes ready to go. In today’s children, there has been an increase in mental health concerns, dysregulation, less physical outlets, more behaviours and excess passive screen time. We believe that all children benefit from daily movement breaks to support their engagement in everyday life activities through active screen time. Through all types of adventures, we want to make it fun, exciting and entertaining, as we empower children to take regulation into their own hands. We want to empower children around the world to independently request Break it Kids to reduce stress, whilst activating their brain, body and senses to perform at their best. We want children, parents and teachers to feel they have access to a regulation tool at all times. Break it kids is accessible anytime, anywhere. Break it kids is a movement break that can be used at home, at school and on-the-go. We release new action packed adventures throughout the year from treasure hunt to science lab to dinosaur island. The kids not only regulate, they improve their gross motor skills as they increase stamina, build strength, balance and coordination. At the same time they learn that they are in charge of their own bodies and mind and that they can access the strategies they learn, anytime to support their emotions. They are entertained as they continue to build confidence.
