About Bright Feats Directory

Bright Feats directory is owned and operated by Abilities Workshop, Inc. Bright Feats provides information about local community services, offers support to families and helps businesses convey their unique services to the special needs community. Having children with special needs and as a result of navigating through the complex maze of the healthcare and educational systems, we recognize the support families require in identifying helpful and necessary resources for their children. Through personal experience we connect with many community organizations and families and understand there is a demand for a resource directory specifically designed for families with children that have special needs. We empathize how overwhelming it can be as each new challenge and diagnosis is discovered. Everything we do for families at Bright Feats is free. We print and deliver more than 200,000 Bright Feats publications each year to schools, hospitals, specialized pediatric physicians, and therapy centers for free. More than half of these publications are sent home in the backpacks of ESE students in Central Florida Public Schools. This puts our helpful directory information in the hands of thousands of parents each year. The small size of our publication allows for parents to conveniently keep them accessible in their purse, folder or glove compartment. Bright Feats maintains a website with expanded directory information, articles, links to related blogs, calendar with upcoming local events and more. Parents may also sign up as a member to receive copies of our electronic quarterly Family Newsletters. Each newsletter includes a list of upcoming workshops, events and support groups. The Bright Feats mission is to help families with children with special needs find medical, educational and community resources to help their children achieve!
