About Cardiff University School of Engineering
We are a leading engineering school, conducting internationally renowned research alongside teaching that places students at the centre of the learning experience. We pride ourselves on our vibrant research culture and many of our staff are involved in large-scale, internationally recognised research projects. In the latest Research Excellence Framework (REF 2014), we ranked top in the UK for the impact of our research across all of our disciplines. In addition we were ranked 1st in the UK for Civil Engineering and 7th in General Engineering, incorporating our Mechanical and Electrical and Electronic Engineering disciplines.
