About CareEpilepsy
Welcome to CareEpilepsy Ethiopia! CareEpilepsy Ethiopia is a charitable organization with a dual mission of saving lives and changing societal perceptions of epilepsy. We are dedicated to saving the lives of individuals affected by epilepsy and associated conditions such as stroke, brain tumors, head injuries, autism, Down syndrome, brain infections, and severe mental health challenges in Ethiopia. Founded in 2015 by Enat Yewnetu, who has lived with epilepsy for over three decades, we have made a significant impact through our community-driven approach, engaging professional and youth volunteers. For nearly a decade, we have built an extensive range of services and practical resources by actively engaging with and listening to people with epilepsy and their families. Our holistic strategy focuses on early diagnosis and treatment, training healthcare professionals, raising community awareness to combat stigma, and improving the emotional, social, and economic well-being of our patients, and changing societal perceptions. We also advocate for better epilepsy care and social policies through partnerships with patients, families, and local and international organizations. Contact us today to join our cause and make a positive impact! Together, we can create a better future and bring about meaningful change for people affected by epilepsy. Whether you want to volunteer, donate, or simply learn more about our mission, we are eager to connect with you.
