Our heritage dates back to 1873, when the original Carter Brothers established their business as millwrights, supplying transmission and line shafting to the thriving Lancashire cotton industry. With the gradual decline of cotton, diversification became essential. In 1954, the company entered a new chapter when it was acquired by brothers John and David Bridge, shortly after their Castleton-based business, David Bridge & Company Ltd, became a public company. Since then, Carter Bros has continually evolved to meet the demands of modern manufacturing. Drawing on decades of engineering expertise, we have developed a reputation for high-performance, durable mixers that combine traditional craftsmanship with the latest technology.
