About CAW Local 200 Computers for Kids
We are an organization comprised of working people dedicated to improving the future of our community by transforming unwanted computers and electronics into educational tools for children in need. We exist because we recognize the importance of computer literacy and believe that all children should have equal access to computers, regardless of social or economic status. With the collection of electronic donations from across the community, we donate computers to suitable families and develop computer labs in an effort to create an even playing field for Windsor's youth. Because we cannot refurbish every donation we receive, Computers For Kids has taken an active role in the responsible recycling of electronic waste. Since 2005, we have recycled over 2 million pounds of excess waste and are pleased to offer everyone in Windsor/Essex County the opportunity to contribute to the betterment of our environment.
