The Central Adelaide Waste and Recycling Authority (CAWRA) is a Local Government Regional Subsidiary founded by the Cities of Charles Sturt and Port Adelaide Enfield. CAWRA was formed to establish a new, state-of-the-art Material Recovery Facility (MRF), located in Kilburn. Construction of CAWRA’s MRF is now well under way, with commissioning scheduled for Spring 2021. CAWRA’s new MRF has been designed with the latest in optical sorting technology to produce clean commodities ideal for developing local markets.
