In our church we practice a very personal religion. Why? Because we believe in a personal God who loves and cares about you. He knows what you need, and He wants to be involved in your life. We believe God connects those who accept His Son Jesus to His spiritual family and gives them the most fulfilling life. God's Holy Spirit actually comes to live in them and helps them to live for Him. This very personal relationship makes possible the most meaningful worship. Our Worship Services and Programs Our worship services and programs reflect the basic Bible mission of the Assemblies of God: 1) to worship God; 2) to help others come to know the Lord Jesus as Savior; and 3) to train believers for Christian life and service. We believe the New Testament provides the pattern for life, worship, and service in the power of God's Holy Spirit. The Bible Our Guide We recognize the Bible as God's Word, given and preserved for all generations. We believe it is totally accurate, and is the authoritative standard by which to measure beliefs and conduct. That's why preaching and teaching of the Bible is central to every worship service and ministry of our church. In many ways, we cultivate a “back-to-basics” emphasis. We're not big on ritual, preferring authentic, individual expressions in prayer, music, song, and preaching. We observe only two sacraments or ordinances. These are ceremonies Christ himself instructed His followers to practice – baptism by immersion in water and Holy Communion. People Oriented Central is a people oriented church. Individuals from all backgrounds find acceptance and connect with friends. We want to connect to each individual through the love of Jesus Christ. He said His love would be the mark of His followers. He also said God the Father seeks those who will worship Him in spirit and truth. That's the kind of worship you'll find at Central Assembly.
