About ChangeTN

The idea for ChangeTN sprouted because of the realization that Tennessee needs bold progressive leadership to get us out of the political wilderness we currently find ourselves in here in the Volunteer State. ChangeTN aims to recruit, train, support, and educate voters and candidates all across Tennessee, and on August 6, 2020 we launched. During the last election cycle ChangeTN endorsed 41 candidates all across Tennessee, and for offices ranging from school board to state senate. Of the 41 candidates endorsed, 6 would go on to win their races, and many others would move the needle closer to change. Not only do we support candidates by endorsing them for office, we also provide every candidate, no matter how big or small, winnable or unwinnable, with fixed-rate and affordable resources, like our Spoke Texting platform. During the 2020 campaigns our candidates had affordable access to this tool, allowing them to reach a much larger amount of voters. At the end of election day our candidates had sent a combined 1.7 million messages. All of this comes at little to no cost to the candidate, because ChangeTN helps cover this extra expense through our donors. As we look ahead to the future, we hope to advocate for more progressive policies that will help the working families of Tennessee, build more lasting campaign infrastructure, innovate creative and effective tools for our candidates, and of course win more races.
