About Chinese American Student Union
The Chinese American Student Union at Binghamton University, also known as CASU, is a student-run organization. We are among six other sub-cultural groups under the parent organization, Asian Student Union (ASU). Together we aim to strengthen the unity of all Asians, Asian Americans, and Pacific Islanders by bridging the gap between different cultural understandings. The purpose of CASU is to promote Chinese and Chinese American culture to its members and to the university community by emphasizing the significance of upholding Chinese heritage, ethnicity and identity. Through various shows, social and cultural events, etc., we look to enrich ourselves and others with the meaning of being Chinese or Chinese American, while exploring and interacting with other cultural groups on campus. With a vibrant community of 170 members and 16 Executive Board Officers, we hope to expand our network amongst the student body and beyond.
