About Church House Barn
Church House Barn Booking.com Visitor Review Award 2025 Situated in the quiet North Cumbrian village of Newton Arlosh, this recently converted barn provides good quality, comfortable, self-catering holiday accommodation for up to four guests. With its medieval church and traditional pub, the village is welcoming and is only a stone’s throw from the Lake District and the Solway Coast. The barn forms part of Church House Farm, once a 19th century working farm, but now providing a peaceful location for those wanting to escape to the country. The accommodation is laid out in reverse with a double bedroom and ensuite, a twin bedroom and family bathroom on the ground floor and a spacious open plan living area on the first floor. French doors in the lounge open on to a Juliet balcony from where there are views across the fields to the coast and on a clear day across to Dumfries and Galloway in Scotland. The barn has been sympathetically converted to a high standard with plenty of insulation, full gas central heating and double glazing. Furnished throughout with modern furnishings it has a light and airy feel while retaining some of its original features and character. The barn is set within the gardens of Church House Farm where you will find a private seating area with a picnic bench for use by guests. In the farmyard there is also a traditional well where water was once drawn for the farm and a stable where our two Shetland ponies reside. What’s included at Church House Farm?
