Hillsboro, a community of approximately 10,000 people located on I-35 between DFW and Waco, is the County Seat of Hill County, Texas. In 1923, Hillsboro Junior College was founded. Today, Hill College is a robust community college system with multiple campuses, significant accomplishments in academics and fine arts, and national renown in track and rodeo. Manufacturing is strong in Hillsboro with over 2,000 employees constructing buildings, materials, fire trucks, and more in our industrial park. Agriculture is strong in Hillsboro with farm families responsible for a variety of important livestock and food crops, which include cotton, maize, corn, wheat, and others. The wealth of the soil enables a myriad of uses and products including award-winning TX Whiskey. For over 170 years, Hillsboro has been the centerpiece of the surrounding rural community.
