About Coaching for Teachers

Expert coaching to help schools develop, nurture and retain their teachers. I work with teachers 1:1 to support with wellbeing, personalised CPD and to help them feel more valued. I am extremely passionate about teacher wellbeing and know that when teachers are happy, pupils are happier and schools can thrive. I trained as an MFL teacher through the Teach First scheme in 2008. Although I loved teaching and cared deeply about education, I ended up burning out and leaving the profession full time in 2014. Since then I've worked all over the world training teachers through the Teach for All network; qualified as a coach with the Co-Active Training Institute; and became a TEDx speaker and specialist on what leads us to quit. It pains me to see so many teachers leaving teaching at the moment. So often they don't even have a second to notice how they're doing, let alone find solutions. Coaching gives teachers that space to breathe, to come back to themselves, identify challenges and find strategies to overcome them. I'm well positioned to support teachers as I understand the school context, but have also had time away to gain perspective. I have a myriad of tools to help teachers combat stress and feel better. Time and time again I see the teachers I coach come into sessions as one person and leave as another. In the current climate, it's no exaggeration to say these spaces are the difference between teachers staying in schools, and leaving.
