I loved going to the children’s section of the library as a young child and picking out books with beautiful covers and pictures. My mother always said that you can’t judge a book by its cover, but as an artistic kid, I always thought I could! As I listened to the words read to me, and looked at the pictures, I found a synchrony between the text and images that made make-believe worlds come alive. When I wasn't listening or reading stories, I would make them up in my head, creating narrative through a mixed media of drawing, fabric and paper collage. In college I pursued my passion for words and stories by studying English Literature. Subsequently, I supplemented my love of language with studying communication design in art school where I learned to create collages of color, shape, and text that came to life through websites, pamphlets, annual reports, logos- any material that communicates a brand’s story. So, imagine the reaction of my close friends and family the day I announced that I was going to business school to get an MBA! My decision came when, though an artist at heart, my cerebral side was curious about marketing strategy, the backbone of the graphic creative expression. I wanted to eventually own the marketing process- strategy to solution, thus collaging my passions of understanding and creating. Today at Collage Creative my fluency in both business and design enable me to TIE my creative skills with my business acumen to create a complete marketing tool kit for my clients. With experience in Adobe Creative Suite including, Photoshop, InDesign and Illustrator, HTML and CSS I am uniquely qualified to help you meet your business goals.
