About Community Alliance of the Far Eastside
CAFE is a resident-driven, neighborhood-based nonprofit organization that strives to meet the identified needs of the community via community development, neighborhood organizing, economic development, workforce development, youth services, senior citizen programs and the provision of social services. CAFE was incorporated in June of 1997 as the merge of the area’s social service provider and the community development corporation. This merge allowed for the development of one organization to comprehensively address the needs of all residents. CAFE is a United Way of Central Indiana (UWCI) Member Agency. CAFE is also a member of the Indianapolis Coalition for Neighborhood Development (ICND).
