About Crispus Attucks Children's Center
At Crispus Attucks Children's Center, we nurture and care for each child individually, helping them grow up strong and smart. Every day, our trained teachers guide children through a range of multi-sensory activities that help them learn, share, and most of all enjoy their childhood. From babies as young as one month to boisterous pre-schoolers up to age six, Crispus Attucks Children's Center is there to guide your child through all stages of their development. Another advantage of CACC is our experienced staff: most of our head teachers have been with the Center between five and 20 years. Our Motto: WORK HARD TO GET SMART We believe in the Efficacy Theory of development that promotes the notion that confidence leads to effective effort, which leads to enhanced development. Everyone can learn because intelligence is not fixed at birth, but instead is something that can be developed. Smart is not something you are, smart is something that you get! A guiding principle is "Work Hard to Get Smart," which is our school's motto. We use this with the children to motivate them to work hard and apply themselves in the classroom, and to remind them that everyone can learn and be successful if they apply themselves. One of our objectives with each student is to teach them the joy of knowledge, and instill in them how to learn in the classroom. These skills will help them remain engaged and prosper in their future academic careers and social development.
