Curtin Filipino Students' Society, more commonly known as CFSS is a two-time Club of the Year recipient and is Australia's largest Filipino university club. CFSS is home to hundreds of members, a plethora of sponsorships, some of campus' biggest events, and a large familial committee. CFSS is also home to the 2021 Best Club Event: Tiangge, which is a cultural night makret where the local community comes together and experience the exotic and cultural facets of the Philippines. The event also features collaborations with the Curtin community and performances from renowned Perth performers. The first ever Tiangge immediately attracted a foot traffic of over 200 people, selling out food vendors at the night. CFSS strives in creating a community that is inclusive and welcoming, despite their race, gender, religion or background. 2021's committee consisted of non-Filipinos and Filipinos, working together with the aim to enhance the campus culture at Curtin University. Just under five years old, CFSS is already creating a massive footprint and impact within the Perth community, and growing in an exponential speed. Along with the growth, CFSS does not forget about their mission to help the community around them. The club donated over $2000 to charities and organisations. Some causes the club has donated to are: tackling the plights of cancer patients and survivors, typhoon aid, and combating poverty in the Philippines. CFSS is featured in publications such as SBS Filipino and strives to be an influential part of a student's life at university.
