Czero is an 18-year-old, mission driven engineering service/contract R&D firm that helps our clients develop innovative technologies in the energy space. We work with the Department of Energy, Department of Defense, national labs, universities & commercial clients of all sizes, especially startups. Czero’s award-winning engineers have 30+ years of experience working with innovation labs, entrepreneurs and large OEMs in North America, Europe, Asia, and Australia. We use proven processes and insights from decades of R&D experience to streamline product development and reduce the business risks of innovation We specialize in complex machine design and sophisticated modeling, simulation, analysis and testing of mechanical, electromechanical, electrohydraulic, energy and embedded control systems. These skills combined with in- house machine shop, fabrication facility, controls panel build shop and test lab allow our engineering R&D team rapidly takes new ideas from concept to prototype. To date we have completed over 450 projects covering a wide range of technologies including advanced powertrain technologies (hybridization, electrification, alternative fuels, fuel injection systems, flexible valvetrains, etc.), energy storage (CAES, thermal, thermochemical, gravity, electrochemical, H2), renewables (concentrating solar, wind, wave, river currents, geothermal, biomass, efuels, etc), carbon capture, upstream O&G, etc. Czero also has extensive experience with high bandwidth hydraulics (very fast valves, solenoids, injectors, etc.)
