About Dapp

In 2011 ontstond het idee voor de Frietfiets, die inmiddels door heel Nederland, België, Luxemburg en Duitsland reist om duurzame en ambachtelijke frieten te verkopen. De liefde voor lekkere en duurzame frieten is de drijfveer achter dit idee. Bij Roderick thuis werden vroeger verse frieten gebakken op de ‘ouderwetse wijze’ en al gauw nam hij deze passie over. Wat begon als hobby groeide uit tot een onderneming. De pilot voor het concept van de Frietfiets begon in de achtertuin van de ouders van Roderick. In de schuur bakte hij verse frieten op een lange houten tafel vol frituurpannen en bracht de porties in fietstassen door wijk naar liefhebbers. De fietstassen en de schuur zijn inmiddels vervangen door een authentieke bakfiets met ingebouwde frituur, de achterliggende visie is hetzelfde gebleven. Begin 2014 ontstond er samenwerking tussen Roderick en Siem waardoor dapp de kans kreeg uit te groeien tot serieuze onderneming. Samen hebben zij ambitieuze plannen ontwikkeld voor het bedrijf. Waarvan de eerste inmiddels werkelijkheid zijn geworden. Er bestaan meerdere Frietfietsen, de eerste enthousiaste franchisenemers zijn gestart en in Utrecht is in augustus 2014 de eerste biologische Frietwinkel geopend.
