About District K
District K is a GWU-based k-pop/hiphop dance team that aims to provide a community for dancers of all experience levels with interests in k-pop music and/or hiphop dance styles. Throughout the year, we film covers of k-pop songs and various studio choreographies (1million, Millennium Dance Complex, Just Jerk Dance, etc.) that we post on our Youtube channel (GWU District K). You can also catch us performing at various events on campus, such as our annual Spring Showcase, and elsewhere across the DMV! At auditions, which we hold at the beginning of every semester, we teach two short k-pop choreographies -- No prior dance experience or preparation is required to audition or be accepted into the org! We also have a myriad of non-dancer positions in the organization, such as publicity, videography, and editing. Please email us if interested: gwu.districtk@gmail.com For more information on auditions, performances, covers, and events, check out our Instagram (@gwu_districtk)
