Dollylocks Organic Products was established in 2010 in sunny St Petersburg, FL, by Alin Leslie, a licensed cosmetologist and successful salon owner specializing in dreadlocks, extensions, and hair education for over 30 years! The Dollylocks Product Line is still handcrafted in small batches with love and the highest raw ingredients available. In the late 90s, while living and loving life in New York City, Alin had the pleasure of working alongside her friend and mentor Sonia Peterson, the leader and founder of Hair Police based in Minneapolis, MN. During this time working at the Hair Police Tours, her love for dreadlocks flourished, and she became enthralled and obsessed with this compressed, matted, organized mess of a hairstyle. Alin began developing new ideas for dreadlock implementation and installation techniques, launching the first Professional Organic Dreadlocking System. In addition to the years of moral support working behind the chair and collaborating with friends in the hair industry, she was inspired and motivated by her two close friends, Jonquil Elise Dreadful (Fiercelocks) and Melinda Hurt (Doctored Locs), to create an organic haircare line designed explicitly for dreadlocks. Alin’s passion for dreadlocks, entrepreneurial spirit, and commitment to living a clean and chemical-free lifestyle compelled her to create Dollylocks Organic Products. The entire product line was created as a necessary component to the creation, implementation, and aftercare of dreadlock home care and as a go-to resource for working dreadlock professionals in the hair industry. Dollylocks Organic Products is a top-selling, globally distributed, recognized organic, and residue-free product line designed explicitly for dreadlocks. However, these fine products are versatile and can be used on brush-able hair and the entire body!
