With two breathtaking sites, situated on beautiful Waiheke Island, just 35 minutes by ferry from downtown Auckland and stunning Rakanui Station, just 10 minutes south of Kaikōura, EcoZip Adventures offers 3km of state-of-the-art flying-fox ziplines, coupled perfectly with eco-immersive forest walks for nature lovers of all ages. EcoZip Adventures is a certified climate positive, award-winning adventure and eco-tourism operator. Conservation is at the heart of our business, so while riding our ziplines is undeniably huge fun, and something you can share with friends, family and colleagues, you can do it knowing that by zipping with us you’re directly contributing to the preservation and protection of beautiful, yet once threatened, pieces of NZ land and bush. Kaitiakitanga is the Māori term for guardianship and protection. It recognises that we’re merely nature’s custodians, or Kaitiaki, temporarily in charge of and bearing ultimate responsibility for how we pass on the land, air and seas to future generations. In 2012, we accepted the challenge of becoming Kaitiaki, pledging to care for, restore and rebalance the fragile ecology of our beautiful forests and landscapes. On Waiheke, complimentary transport is offered to and from many island locations, including the Matiatia ferry terminal, Oneroa Village and various vineyards and beaches, so guests can enjoy the full Waiheke experience. In Kaikōura, door-to-door transport, including awesome local commentary, is provided as part of the tour so guests can sit back and enjoy the views. We cater for school, sports, private and corporate groups at both sites and, at Waiheke, additionally offer indoor and outdoor conference facilities in both boardroom and cabaret style, alongside audio-visual amenities and catering, personally handled by a dedicated event manager.
