Optician John Snelgrove FBDO and his team have been providing visiting optical services for older people in Herts, Beds, Bucks and North London since 1993 Here at Enhanced Optical Services, we realise that ensuring your residents are made to feel comfortable with a high quality of life is at the top of your priorities. Providing the best possible optical care plan is something that will not only achieve this but will also set you apart from the competition and add value to your care home packages. As a Registered Dispensing Optician with the General Optical Council, myself and my team have been providing visiting optical services for older people in Herts, Bucks and North London for 20 years. As an NHS contractor for providing Mobile Sight Tests, we provide a personalised and caring service. We don’t use any unqualified assistants and your residents will always see the same optician – making them feel more comfortable and building a trusting relationship. We also form part of your multi-discipline team for your residents and help you meet the Mental Capacity Act and the Disability Discrimination Act requirements. We manage an individual and detailed optical care plan for each of your residents. In maintaining this optical care plan which your staff can access, not only does it help your team understand each resident’s vision to increase the quality of care, it also lets us take the strain of optical care management from you – giving you more time to focus on other priorities. We offer free frames for everyone, both with the NHS voucher and with private lenses. All spectacles are labelled with the client’s name, as well as the date, function and level of vision.
