Our story began in 2019 when Chris Lee and Aidan Breen, while working on innovation projects for a large European re-insurer, saw the potential of parametric insurance to help financially vulnerable people in advance of a storm. This led to the development of a forecast-based hurricane product that could potentially save thousands of lives and prevent billions of insured losses. With support from Shipyard Technology Ventures, Exante was formed to bring this innovation to life.
