About Eye Specialty Hospital
The Eye Specialty Hospital was founded in 1998, and it's the first specialized hospital in ophthalmology in Jordan. It's considered as one of the most advanced and progressed hospitals in the ophthalmological field in the middle east. Our hospital offers 44 beds in total, 28 for the in-patient , four major operation theaters, ICU , theaters for minor operation, out patient and specialized clinics, laser clinics, optics and Refraction departments & a pharmacy, in addition to the other departments related to ophthalmology. The hospital provides 24 hour eye care and an emergency department in relation to ophthalmology. In year 2001 the hospital signed an agreement with the Royal Collage for Surgery of Glasgow, recognizing the Eye Specialty Hospital to be one of the examination centers for the FRCS degree in ophthalmology. Moreover, the hospital signed and agreement for scientific co-operation with Alicante Ophthalmology Institution/Spain. The hospital obtained an international certificate in standard and value (ISO 9002). The hospital's mission is not only to preserve vision, but to improve visual potentials with the help of its' experienced medical staff and the up to date medical facilities and techniques, and thus improving the quality of living.
