About FabMo, Inc

For more than 20 years FabMo has been an independent, all-volunteer non-profit organization that diverts 70+ tons of materials annually from the landfills in the San Francisco Bay Area. We collect samples of discontinued textiles, tile, wood, leather and carpets from the Bay Area Design Community and make those materials available for creative reuse to crafters and artists throughout the Bay Area at our monthly events. We also take donations of textiles and crafting materials from individuals. Please check out the donation guidelines on our webpage. Are you a maker or a crafter? Do you sew, knit, weave or paint? Do you create costumes, accessories, jewelry, furnishings or toys? Are your creations destined for the classroom or the living room, or for a favorite charity? Whatever your creative passion at FabMo you will find wonderful materials, inspiration, workshops and a welcoming community! Join us for one of our events to see for yourself! As an all-volunteer organization we are always looking for people to help out with the many tasks required to collect, sort and make the materials available, and to help with our internal organizational needs. You don't need to be a creative genius or even know how to sew to enjoy FabMo and make a difference. Whatever your skills and interests are, at FabMo they can be put to great use.
