FFBL Power Company Limited (“FPCL” or the “Company”) is an unlisted public limited company incorporated by the Sponsor as a special purpose vehicle in June 2014 for setting up a coal power plant (CPP) capable of generating power at two different frequencies i.e. 50 Hz and 60 Hz, to meet its clients power and operational requirements as under; (i) Fauji Fertilizer bin Qasim Limited (FFBL) ‐ 60 Hz (ii) K‐Electric (formally known as Karachi Electric Supply Corporation); and/or Bulk power consumers ‐ 50 Hz The CPP will be located at Port Qasim, Karachi in the province of Sindh, on approximately 50 acres of land within the existing Fauji Fertilizer Bin Qasim (FFBL) Fertilizer Complex on the south side. The Project will be capable of generating 500 Tons Per Hour (TPH) steam through two (02) equal capacity Circulating Fluidized Bed (CFB) high‐pressure coal‐fired boilers which are a proven technology for efficient burning of wide range of coal. The Installed capacity of the Project shall be 118 MW, of which ~ 52 – 60 MW of power shall be sold to K‐Electric.
