About Gladon Company

Gladon Company has been providing high quality products to the swimming pool industry since 1971 and are the inventors of the original swimming pool cove. We proudly manufacture and distribute quality pool products to the swimming pool and spa markets worldwide. Gladon Co. began with the introduction of Gladon's Original Cove™ Mold, and HappyBottom® Pool Pad. Knowing that there was a better alternative to sand or dirt to serve as the cove in an above ground pool, Don Haight cashed out his retirement plan, invested in, and ultimately patented Gladon's Original Pool Cove™ Mold. Cove Mold is a superior, cost effective option to sand or dirt, materials commonly used to set up an above-ground swimming pool. Shortly after Original Cove Mold was introduced, Don identified a major pool installation flaw: a number of swimming pools were being set up on hard surfaces such as concrete patios and driveways. He clearly knew this technique could be dramatically improved, and started development on HappyBottom® Pool Pad. HappyBottom's introduction revolutionized the industry and led to a dramatic change in the pool set-up process.
