About Going Coastal

Going Coastal, Inc. is a 501c3 all-volunteer, youth and community serving organization addressing the environment where water meets land. Our programs connect communities to water access, preserve maritime heritage, tackle coastal resilience, protect wetland habitats and water quality, explore the intersection of culture, arts and the environment. Projects are designed to raise awareness of the immense value of the shore environment, encourage a sense of community and common history and promote preservation, protection and conservation. Our goal is to bring you and your family to the waterfront, help keep it clean, and teach about its ecology and history. Through the efforts of our volunteers and information initiatives, we encourage adults and children to appreciate, enjoy, and preserve it. Our vision is that our shared waters are clean, safe and accessible ensuring an improved quality of life for all.
