About GW-TV: The George Washington University Television
GW-TV is The George Washington University’s only student-run television station, catering to both the GW and local D.C. communities. GW-TV welcomes members from all backgrounds, areas of study and levels of experience. Student members manage all aspects of television production from the writers' room to post-production. During their time with GW-TV, members engage in many roles, including pitching stories, writing scripts, producing packages, field reporting, anchoring, acting, working cameras, managing audio, operating teleprompter, floor directing, technical directing, assistant directing, managing teams, promoting episodes and handling talent. After graduation, many GW-TV alumni have gone on to careers at major networks and brands such as NBC and Time Magazine. GW-TV currently produces four shows in its newly-renovated, state-of-the-art studio: GWeek, Colonial Crossfire, Unstoppable and District Debrief. GWeek is a campus news show, bringing students the latest headlines from Foggy Bottom, as well as engaging in-studio interviews and performances. Colonial Crossfire is a political debate show, which challenges GW students to participate in constructive conversations across the political aisle from the heart of the nation’s capital. Unstoppable is GW’s premiere voice in all varsity athletics. District Debrief is GW-TV’s satirical news show, delivering a variety of original campus-related and political sketch comedy. Follow GW-TV on Facebook, Twitter and Instagram and look for GW-TV on YouTube to see all episodes from all seasons!
