Haenyo is a curated Korean Women’s Fashion brand. We partner with up-and-coming South Korean designers to produce affordable, quality pieces with an emphasis on unique elevated basics. All of our clothing is made in South Korea and reflects a modern, global perspective. The Haenyo female collective is our muse. An embodiment of female strength and unshakeable camaraderie. Our Muse: Haenyo, which translates to “Sea Women,” are a community of female divers from the province of Jeju, South Korea. As primary breadwinners, Haenyo women led matriarchal family structures, and withstood physically demanding environments, diving for sea harvest in extremely cold climates. They also persevered through multiple foreign invasions on the island, all while supporting and raising their families. These women are known for their independent spirit, iron will and determination.
