About Halifax Regional
Halifax Regional Medical Center, located in Roanoke Rapids, North Carolina, is an award winning health care organization that has proven to be a driving force for health and well- being in our Community for more than 100 years. We offer a wide range of essential services and represent most medical specialties; including an integrated network of physician offices, outpatient facilities, an urgent care center, and our 204 bed inpatient hospital. In addition to patients from our own community, we regularly provide emergency care to patients from around the world due to our close proximity to I-95. In addition, we are the closest acute care facility for visitors to Lake Gaston, a nearby recreational lake. As a non-profit organization, our physicians, nurses and staff place patient needs first and we are committed to providing compassionate care to our visitors, friends and neighbors who have placed their trust in us. We provide millions of dollars in charitable care each year, and as we have grown to be one of the area’s largest private employers, we have become an essential component of the local economy. Halifax Regional is fully accredited by The Joint Commission and our Joint Care Center has been designated a Center of Excellence.
