About Hands on Learning
Hands on Learning is a practical school program that builds engagement, wellbeing and attendance by creating opportunities for students to discover their talents and experience success through significant and authentic hands-on creative construction and hospitality projects. We provide training and support for partner schools who become members of regional networks sharing ideas and inspiration. For 25 years HoL has been proven to significantly increase attendance, improve vocational pathways, and reduce early school leaving and youth unemployment. Through this practical learning program, young people are not only developing their skills – they’re realising their rights to education, expression, connection, and personal development in genuinely meaningful ways.
