For over 40 years, High Country United Way has partnered with local communities in Watauga, Ashe, Avery, Mitchell, and Yancey counties to co-create solutions to people’s most pressing challenges. Since the day Hurricane Helene struck, High Country United Way has been on the ground supporting our communities through immediate relief and long-term recovery efforts. Each year, we support programs that enhance well-being for thousands, improve youth education outcomes, and create pathways to financial independence.
