Hind-Sight Industries is developing digital eyewear systems to increase safety, capture life's moments, and enable people to interact more efficiently with information. Patented pivoting technology integrates cameras, displays, lights, mirrors, and/or sensors into eyeglasses allowing the components to dock with the temple arms. The designs appear to be conventional glasses until the docked components are pivoted into the desired position. This feature allows people in the vicinity to know the components are in use. The docking system eliminates privacy concerns generated by other smartglasses designs that use fixed forward facing cameras. Hind-Sight's launch product currently under development is the FaceShot: sunglasses with an integrated, docking, pivoting video camera. Some of life's best moments happen when we least expected it. Has anyone ever wished for easier access to a camera while biking, fishing, golfing, rock climbing, playing with the kids, or doing something else fun that requires both hands? Integrating a tiny 1080p camera into a small pivoting pod creates a lightweight, instantly accessible, wearable recording device.
