About HomeTown Health
HomeTown Health, LLC is an organization of small and rural hospitals, located throughout the southeast, who collectively pursues ways to help hospitals survive in this environment of tremendous budget cuts from the state and federal level. What began as a handful of community hospitals many years ago has now grown into an organization serving over 60 hospitals in the Southeast and 70 hospitals in the Midwest. HomeTown is committed to the financial strength and long term viability of its hospital members. HTH provides legislative representation and political advocacy; accredited healthcare education, by IACET and NAB, in the areas of revenue cycle and reimbursement, compliance, Health IT and physician practice mgmt; Quality and Financial Improvement Initiatives through SHIP and FLEX grants; and more than 60 proven "best practice" solutions through its Management Services Division. HTHU, Hometown's online university, is currently serving over 15,000 students throughout hospitals and physician offices nationwide. HTHU currently offers over 340 online courses in the School of Revenue Cycle Management including our very popular Hospital PFS/Business Office Certifications; School of Clinical/Staff Compliance; School of Long Term Care, School of Behavioral Health, School of Nursing Continuing Education, School of Health Information Technology; customized online annual education programs; and, Healthcare Solutions Free Training Center. HTHU also offers Custom Educator programs for colleges, high schools and training centers, as well as Board Training for Board of Directors in healthcare settings.
