Idemitsu Australia has been operating in Australia since 1978 as a subsidiary of Japanese company Idemitsu Kosan Co., Ltd. For more than 45 years we have proudly produced resources that have supported local communities, contributed to economic growth and assisted our customers in achieving their goals. Our head office, mining and post-mining operations in Queensland and New South Wales support local jobs, with our Boggabri coal mine producing about 7 million tonnes per year of thermal, semi-soft and PCI coals for export. Deeply committed to sustainability and innovation, we continue to meet global energy demands through the supply of our high-quality metallurgical and thermal coal, while we actively diversify and decarbonise our energy portfolio to pursue a sustainable resources future. We are proud to invest in sustainable energy development through our pumped hydro and solar projects at our Muswellbrook and Boggabri sites, while also exploring sustainable fuel opportunities.
