About Imperial College Finance Society
The Imperial College Finance Society (ICFS or FinSoc) is the premier society for students looking to break into the financial sector and one of the leading professional societies at Imperial College London. Founded in 1999, FinSoc is the largest non-departmental student society at Imperial, with over 800 members and 5000+ member mailing list. Our society was ranked by National Placement & Internship Awards to be the top finance career-oriented society and the 5th best student society in the UK. We have hosted and co-hosted a series of widely recognised competitions at Imperial such as the Annual UIBS (Largest student finance competition in the UK) and WorldQuant Alphathon trading challenge. FinSoc has collaborated with elite UK universities to deliver the best events to our members - providing a platform for students to network with like-minded peers from beyond the Imperial Campus.We have previously worked with LSE, Cambridge, Oxford and UCL. Through this collaboration, we co-hosted Europe’s largest studentrun conference - focusing on financial technology in Europe: ‘London Fintech Conference’ We also run educational courses, careers events and networking events throughout the year. Our ultimate aim is to provide our members with all the resources they need to land their dream job within the financial services sector. We boast some of the very best industry connections in London, especially through our alumni. Given our excellent leadership, expansive support programmes, sector-leading sponsors and much, much more, we truly are every Imperial student's key to the City of London.
