About Jersey County ETSB / E911
The mission of the Jersey County ETSB is to promote public safety by ensuring that the 9-1-1 system within Jersey County is operational at all times. To accomplish this we work on maintaining essential components that enable those in need of emergency assistance to rapidly request help by dialing the number 9-1-1 from both landline and wireless telephones. Those components include advanced mapping software and programs that allow the 9-1-1 call-taker to know the callers telephone number, address and exact location. One of the ETSB's goals includes promoting 9-1-1 by familiarizing the public on the proper use of the 9-1-1 system as well as educating the children within Jersey County on the importance of dialing 9-1-1 in the event of an emergency.
