JLH is a security clearance consulting company for folks who are (or maybe) applying for a federal security clearance (SF-86) or a Public Trust Position (SF-85, SF-85P). JLH is owned & operated by Jim Hennessey, a Federal Background Investigator (Ret.), who ran federal background investigations (bi) for 25 years. Jim retired in July 2008 as a Special Agent from the DOD (DIS + DSS) and with OPM-FISD and has since (as a Security Clearance Consultant) assisted folks undergoing (or may undergo) a federal bi. Obtaining a federal security clearance (or Public Trust Position) is not a lot of fun. It can be confusing, scary and an intimidating process. Jim can make this 3-part process (the application process, the background investigation process, the adjudication process) easier & more smooth. Jim can de-mystify the process and make sure that any questions, concerns and his guidance will help you. Obtaining a security clearance can take more time than it should if one incorrectly fills out the various security forms, adding weeks, months to the process. Sometimes it is best to provide more information than is asked, sometimes it best only to provide what is required. A well completed, accurately filled out, with the correctly required information will insure that your security forms will be accepted, worked on immediately and have your case completed in the least amount of time. Those security forms that are full of incorrect data, out-dated, unexplained issues, full of time-gaps, wrong, inaccurate information will insure your paperwork will lanquish for weeks or months, possibly causing major delays, rejection, and denials. A well-documented security form, even one with issues will get through the proper channels, out into the field for Investigators, support personnel, etc., for your background investigation & a quicker-turnaround time for the adjudication vice a incomplete, incorrectly filled-out security form with no-issues.
