About Journey Basketball

Journey Basketball is designed to provide athletes of all abilities with organized and skill-appropriate basketball training programs. We aim to help athletes develop their skills as basketball players while also showing them the importance of hard work, the power of confidence, and the value of respect. For those who are new to the sport, we will provide instruction that will help build a strong foundation, which will then allow players to develop properly as they continue to play the game. For our players who are more experienced, we will be building off of their existing skill set with the goal of having them succeed at whichever playing level they may reach. We hope to inspire all of our youth to develop a passion for the game of basketball and to constantly pursue their dreams, whether it is on or off the court. Journey Basketball will be a platform for youth to build self-esteem, create bonds and develop life skills through sport. We aim to positively build on the physical health and mental health of our players. How will we positively build on the physical and mental health aspects of the sport? • We will give constant positive reinforcement to our players during training sessions • When critiquing our players, we will do so in a way that will teach them HOW to reach this desired goal rather than just stating they did something wrong • The players will be involved in a diverse curriculum that will help with their endurance, strength and overall conditioning
