K FOR COFFEE is the end result of several years of learning and extensive thinking. This vision was brought to life through our love for Honduras and the exceptional specialty coffees it produces. From the very beginning, we’ve been inspired by the richness of Honduran coffee and have worked tirelessly to create a truly transcendent cold brew coffee experience as reflected in our motto: As WE Are - The World Becomes The meaning of K FOR COFFEE ? In 1582, the word "coffee" as we know it today entered the English language. Before that, nearly every language had its own variation, often beginning with the letter K. Words like "Kaffie" in Dutch, or similar terms in Germanic and Slavic languages, reflected the deep cultural roots of coffee, long before the colonial era. This is the inspiration behind K FOR COFFEE: a name that ties back to pre-colonial times and honors the heritage of coffee producers from its very beginnings. K - stands for pre-colonialism. Because let’s not forget - this is also the point in history when colonialism tightened its grip on the coffee world. What began as a crop of culture and community became an engine of exploitation. And time after time, we missed the chance to do better. Until now... The challenge is: How to develop, at a reasonable cost, a product and an industry that provide autonomy and also reflect the skills as well as the knowledge of the coffee producers in the producing country? For a long time, organizations committed to supporting coffee producing countries have been searching for a way to help these regions move beyond the limitations of raw commodity trade. The goal: to add value where the coffee is grown, creating new revenue streams for producers and allowing them to benefit not just from the bean, but from the final product itself. Your drink.
