About Khayari Organization

Khayari is an official nonprofit organization aimed at empowering and uplifting an overlooked population in Palestinian communities - educated women, ages 18 – 21. Khayari is offers leadership and economic empowerment theoretical and practical trainings to meet the social, civic, and religious needs of university-educated women from Palestinian cities, villages, and refugee camps, and providing them with a platform for interfaith citizenship, professional development, peer support, and leadership training. Khayari organization actively focuses on women from diverse religious backgrounds, ethnicities, and locations. The group aims to create a more equitable and just society that values the contributions of all its citizens, thereby contributing to the advancement process of the Palestinian society. The vision of Khayari is to create a vanguard of self-sustaining micro-entrepreneur Palestinian women who work in formal markets with legal protections and partake in leadership roles that shape local life and governance. The philosophy of the group is that societal advancement and conflict management involves empowering women with choice.
