KMTV 3 News Now Omaha is dedicated to going beyond the typical bounds of news and delivering viewers depth and authenticity. We recognize the urgency of breaking news and regularly rush to be live from the scene when it happens. We use our state-of-the-art facilities and equipment to elevate the news delivery experience. Scripps Company, we live out the motto “give light and the people will find their own way” in everything we do. Tom Brokaw got his start as a reporter here. The station airs 30 hours of locally produced newscasts weekly. KMTV airs a daily talk show called The Morning Blend. The station won 2017 gold and silver Pinnacle Awards from the Nebraska Broadcasters Association. 1.3 million people live in the Omaha metro area. Omaha has a below average cost of living. The city earned honors in 2015 from Money Magazine for Best of the Midwest. Forbes rated the city No. 12 in its Best Cities for Young Professionals list.
